Many Small and Mid-Market CEOs sell their companies for far less than they had expected to receive. This is mainly because many of them get caught off-guard for not having prepared for the “exit day.”
How does this happen? Mid and Small market CEOs underinvest in training themselves on how to prepare their companies for an exit. Many believe this is the role of the investment banker or the business broker.
